Seasons change - love is still in the air.

For Kingstonians, the Kingston Fall Fair heralds the arrival of Fall. (It was the 186thanniversary of the Kingston Fall Fair this year. Did you guys know that?)

So, naturally, the Quirky Love Project went to document this yearly event. We held off on purchasing a bucket of fries so that our fingers wouldn’t slide off our shutters while snapping photographs of the seagulls and all the happy rollercoaster-loving people milling around, waiting for Demolition Derby to bring some auto-destruction.

The Abrams Brothers even shot a music video there! We know this, because we were asked to move so as not to be talking in the background. So we wandered around, doing our usual: looking for love.

Might it surprise you to know that we didn’t see a whole lotta love right at the get go? Maybe it is because people were more excited about the mountains of funnel cakes and hot dogs they were juggling and the rides for which they were eagerly ripping off tickets. We found one couple easily enough, though. They were weaving through the crowd hand-in-hand, blissfully unaware of the chaos and feasting. To date, they were the couple that most easily agreed to have us photograph them, completely happy and uninhibited. They were also the quickest to get moving along, giving us no more than 60 seconds to get some snaps of their love.

Lucky for us, there was a lot of love.
